This unit is by far my favorite in Captains Walk. We have been vacationing in Hilton Head for over 30 years and our favorite place is Captains Walk. However, this unit is the best we’ve ever rented! Everything was brand new and top quality. The updates and beauty of the unit made staying away from home extremely comfortable. As a self proclaimed germ-a-phobe, this unit was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. The Vacation Company is responsible for that. Their cleaning crews are amazing and made our stay so enjoyable. I will rent from them again because they made it so easy, pleasant, and went out of their way to accommodate us. My family (2 adults and 2 tweens) have stayed at 433 Captains Walk at least twice before and have always found the unit to be incredibly convenient and very comfortable. You walk off the back patio, and you can either head straight out to the beach or hang a very short left to the pool--both just yards away. The first floor location is also ideal for tracking in and out from your car, especially when you're just arriving and departing. We really didn't want for anything with this unit. But this year, we walked in to find that the whole unit had been completely renovated--new paint, new furniture, new appliances, new floors, new bathrooms...everything! I even walked out and checked the number at the door to make sure I was in the right unit. Now, one thing that drives me nuts in reviews is when people comment on decorating choices (highly subjective, AND it's not your property!), but I have to say, I think the new design is elegant, yet comfortable. I was so nervous about all the nice, new appliances (LG), though, that I didn't want my husband or kids touching them. We did find that the A/C was struggling (which was made more tolerable by the newly installed ceiling fans in every room) and the keypad on the door was also not working properly, but when we reached out to The Vacation Company, they sent people out almost immediately, and both issues were fully resolved within just a few hours. The repair workers were incredibly nice and professional, too. Just a few notes for potential renters... * If you are traveling with babies, please note that there is not a bathtub in the unit, and the new kitchen sink isn't terribly large if you're traveling with a little butterball. *There is a pack-n-play in the unit, however. *There is plenty of room on the floor of the second bedroom for an air mattress. (I know I, personally, don't like putting away a sleeper sofa every morning and I definitely do not want to have to tiptoe around late sleepers!) *Some of the light switches are in odd places and some take a little extra effort (specifically, the one that controls the ceiling fan/light in the living room), so keep searching/trying--you'll eventually find the one you're looking for! *As with any unit managed by TVC, there are plenty of bath linens and beach towels in the unit. This unit has a large supply of extra bed linens, pillows, and hangars, too. I did find that our kitchen "starter pack" had been scaled back to just a sponge and dish towel and a roll of paper towels this year, but I always take dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and extra paper towels/toilet paper with me anyway. Thanks to the owners and The Vacation Company for another terrific stay! We'll see you again on our next trip!

We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Excellent location in Palmetto Dunes, steps from the pool, the grills, and the beach. I've lived in SC all my life and never been to HHI and I fell in love with everything. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking.

Other floors have to go out front and walk around. Only the bottom floors can walk directly to the back. The size was perfect for our family of 5. 2 kids shared a full size bed. There was plenty of room to use a single air mattress had we brought one. Kitchen was very well equipped with nonfood items. The only downside to being in a smaller condo as oppossed to a big house or hotel, is that there isn't much to do on rain days. Definitely bring rainy day entertainment. We brought our firestick which worked fine on their wifi.

We had a bottom floor unit which provides you direct pool/beach access. The place had one of the better appointed kitchens I've experienced- even had an airfryer and crockpot. Providing 5 dishwasher pods and 5 laundry pods was a nice touch. The only extra supplies that we brought with us that we actually needed were spices/seasonings (which they warned us to bring) Our party of 5 had plenty of room. There are no board games, so if you are coming with kids, I'd bring backup entertainment for rainy days. We never heard a peep from any of our neighbors- I'm not positive that there were any in the unit above us.

Great location and lovely property and so convenient to get to the beach. Unit had everything we needed. Enjoyed having Smart TV/Roku TV. Palmetto Dunes is so beautiful. Nice pool for when beach was too windy. Just a couple of minor issues: ice maker leaks so all the ice clumps together and could use a power strip in 2nd bedroom to make it easier to charge devices overnight. These things did not detract from a great stay, though.

Clean, nicely furnished with beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach towels! Enough kitchen, laundry and bathroom supplies for 4 adults for the week. Wonderful location with just a few steps to the pool area and beach. Beautiful view!

I was very pleased with the condo. You never really know what you are going to get, but I am happy to say that this one delivers! It is very roomy (we had 4 adults and 2 kids). Very clean when we arrived. Though you don't get a beach view (you can see a small amount of the open though the trees), being on the first floor and walking right out to the boardwalk was WELL worth it. Unit is about 25 steps to the pool and about 15 steps to the boardwalk. I've had longer walks to the beach with houses that are beachfront. Would definitely come back! Only drawback was the internet and mobile service was very spotty. Had to leave the unit to make any calls. All things considered, I was happy for the interruption of service. :)

This property is a great location with a short walk to the pool and beach. This is our second time staying at this location and hope to be back soon. Property is in great shape and communications with the management company is fantastic. Great local restaurants just Minutes from this location. I give it a big thumbs up!

Our family has been vacationing in HH for the last 14 years, always staying in Palmetto Dunes. After starting out at the Hilton (now Omni), then renting at Villamere, we moved to Captain's Walk 2 years ago. This year we rented 433 and couldn't have been happier! The unit was clean and beautifully decorated (meaning simple, beach theme). The first floor location with direct access to the grounds made it exceptional for us. Our kids are 9 and 13, so they could come and go to the beach and pool easily and it was so nice not to have to lug our beach gear up/down stairs or elevators and through long hallways. Additionally, this was by far the easiest check-in I've experienced in all our years coming to HH. The parking pass and door entry info was sent to us a week before we left home, so there wasn't the hassle of stopping at the office to pick up keys, etc. We'll definitely continue renting this unit.

We just returned today from a long weekend (but not long enough) to HHI. This was a great condo; the first floor offered super convenience to the pool and beach. We've vacationed in HHI for 20+ years, and have stayed in Captain's Walk before, and we have to say this was a top favorite unit. Everything was clean, the linens and bedding seemed brand new, and although we didn't cook meals this time, the kitchen seemed fairly well equipped. Captain's Walk is a very well-maintained complex, the pool area is very nice, and the beach is so close. We would definitely stay here again.
