Excellent property
This was the perfect property for my adult family as there were multiple locations for smallgroups to gather. Plus everyone/couple was able to have their own room and bathroom.The house is decorated beautifully and the location is primo - just a small walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Lovely home in a great location.
This home is very nice and clean. Super comfortable. With a very scenic short walk to the beach. There were bikes for us to use and the company left chairs and boggie boards for the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

Great house for adults
Despite the lack of sunny weather, we had a great family time. At 83 the many steps were hard to navigate but I knew that when I chose this I house. The trade off was the configuration of the rooms with many king sized beds. My college age grandchildren are tall as are their fathers. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever had in a rental house. It made making family meals easy and so much fun cooking Christmas together. All in all a great house for Christmas time of year

Wonderful family vacation!
We had a wonderful family vacation for 14 family members and enjoyed our beautiful, large vacation home with all the decks, porches and great pool/ patio area at 3 Galleon immensely! We loved how close to the beach we were. Everything was so pristine, comfortable, spacious , well supplied and as beautiful as the listing had shown. We found Vacation Company to be wonderful , as well! All of the representatives were always helpful and kind in answering any questions and even came almost immediately with a new coffee pot that we needed. The gentleman who delivered it was so kind and friendly to all! We would definitely rent through Vacation Company again! We had a wonderful week and made many more great memories with our children and grandchildren! Thank you so much!

Heaven on Earth
First trip to Hilton Head with my family (14 of us). From the second we walked into to this beautiful home to the second we left all my stress went far away. The house is spotless, windows everywhere to enjoy the sunlight and the house feels double the size. Booking was easy with vacation company as well. Highly recommend this property.

Paradise on Hilton Head
Took our family trip. 12 of us. Breathtaking is the only way to describe this property. Everything about it from proximity to ocean to how clean it was was A+. If your looking to rent the most amazing vacation property this is it!

Perfect House for Families
This house was the perfect location to the beach and all activities with little and big kids. The private pool was amazing for napping babies and plenty of comfortable beds for all the adults. Would love to rent this property again!

Great Location!
The property was a perfect location for our family. About a true 2 minute walk to the beach. The communication with the Vacation Company was excellent and they were very prompt with any issues we had. Would highly recommend and will stay there again if our family vacations in Hilton Head.

The Perfect Place
3 Galleon was a beautiful home and perfect for our large family. The location to the beach was a very short walk and the grandkids loved having the pool at the house. Being in a neighborhood was so nice because it was very private and the beach was never crowded. It was also convenient to restaurants, grocery stores and putt putt! Renourishment Project 

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. 

This is a 24/7 project.

The beach renourishment project will occur in three phases, with an anticipated completion date of May 2026. The anticipated schedule is as follows:

  • Phase 1 - Port Royal (the Heel), Fish Haul and Pine Island
    • Complete - Contractor mobilizes in August 2025.
    • Complete - Weeks of August 13, 2025 thru September 17, 2025 - Fish Haul area
    • Complete - Weeks of September 18, 2025 thru October 10, 2025 - Pine Island
    • Complete - Weeks of October 11, 2025 thru October 17, 2025 - Port Royal (The Heel)
  • Phase 2 - Central Island, South Island and South Beach
    • Weeks of December 11, 2025 thru March 28, 2026 - Central Island, including beach areas along Palmetto Dunes
    • Weeks of March 28, 2026 thru May 31, 2026 - South Island and South Beach areas .
  • Phase 3 - Pine Island Breakwater Structures
    • Weeks of November 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026

“It’s a priority to preserve, protect and cherish our beaches – one of our greatest assets. Our Island depends on their ongoing vitality. The Town’s role is to carry out the community’s collective dedication to this environmental core value through our investment in restoration and maintenance,” said Mayor Alan Perry. “And fortunately, due to the foresight of Town leaders before us and thanks to our millions of visitors, this project is funded through our beach preservation fund and capital improvement program.”


Beach renourishment is a moving work zone that typically progresses at about 1,000 feet per section-just 2% of the Island’s total beach area. On average, only 300 feet of beach will be impacted per day. Temporary beach access ramps and clear signage will help direct beachgoers safely around active work areas to open areas of the beach. As soon as an active site is completed, the equipment will move down the beach and the newly renourished section will open.

Special protection has been made for wildlife that may be impacted because of the project. All work will be supervised by consultant teams under contract to monitor sea turtles and migratory shorebirds. Additionally, per a requirement of the beach renourishment permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), the Town amended its municipal code to restrict animal/dog activity in an area adjacent to Fish Haul Creek beach park. This requirement protects endangered shorebird species that migrate and nest there. Signage is posted and no other beach areas will be affected. Dogs are still allowed per the Town’s seasonal rules – only a small section of the creek area adjacent to the beach park is restricted.

Marinex Construction, Inc., the contractor for the project, began mobilizing equipment this month in preparation for the work. This includes positioning their offshore barges and staging miles of steel pipes to pump sand from ocean shoals back to beaches. Crews will be working around the clock daily.

The beach renourishment process helps to:

  • Preserve a healthy shoreline ecosystem for wildlife such as sea turtles and shorebirds.
  • Protect beachfront properties and infrastructure from storms.
  • Provide wider, more enjoyable beaches for residents and visitors alike.
