105 Beachwalk-1st Floor, Quick walk to Beach Club & Dog Friendly
We had a wonderful week. Loved that the condo was a short walk to the beach. Pet friendly made it even better. Although the condo was undated the whole shipyard plantation complex is showing its age. We have not been to shipyard in some 20 some years and nothing on the outside has changed. Could use some updating.

Wonderful WIndy Sensational Sunrise
Hilton head is absolutely beautiful. No surprise we visit every year. Vacation company is above and beyond in attention to details. Although we did not have to contact them with any issues, they were so proactive in communicating with instruction, vacation rentals, gift package for the pets, etc. etc. The unit itself, was so well equipped, and the floorplan was perfect for us. We really enjoy the location of the beach walk. Now the negatives. There were none! Maybe we could complain a little about the wind, but there’s only one who is in control of that.

Great Space!
I loved working with the Vacation Co. Customer service gets an A+. 105 Beachwalk was very nice & very clean. The condo had everything that we needed and then some. We took our puppy this trip and they left a care package for her. We also liked the $150 credit towards beach gear. We rented bikes and that process was easy as well. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay at this property again.

Lovely stay!
This was a perfect location and the unit was great. We took our dog Zuri and she had a blast early in the morning playing in the surf. The property manager was in frequent contact - checking in and checking out was a breeze. Will definitely come again!

Christmas getaway
The property was nice and quiet. The Villa was updated, clean and an extra bonus were the fans in the closets for us to use, lol! All of us have to use a fan to sleep. The chairs, floats, toys, etc in the shed were good to use. The personal shower and hose to use at the villa were great to use to rinse off before going into the villa. Thank you for being a pet friendly property. Thank you for knowing pets are family too! We had a great relaxing Christmas getaway with our family and didn't want to leave. Hoping to move soon and be a permanent resident in HHI.

Great pet friendly for beach walks
105 Beachwalk was a quick 3 min walk to the beach for our dogs. They loved that and we loved the renovated kitchen and bathrooms and the very comfortable family area. Internet was fast enough for 4 adults to work on including video calls. TVs were well connected and easy to use. Only negative was the Vacation Company bikes that we rented were cheap and not good for rides over 2 miles. But overall great place!

I would definitely come back to this property. There were a few very minor things the property owner should address as far as blinds should probably be replaced, but overall everything was excellent. Kitchen was well stocked with dish ware as we love to cook, so this was nice. Plenty of towels were provided as well. Appliances were in great working condition. Surroundings were awesome....As mentioned, would definitely return.

Very Welcoming Home
The owner thought of everything! From multiple beach towels, an lovely start up toiletries, to a Welcome Bag for our dogs! This unit does not disappoint as it is beautifully appointed and very close to the beach, Sonesta Resort, and perched within steps to the bike trail. We've been to HHI so many times but this unit, 105 Beachwalk is special.

We had a wonderful time. The place was like coming home. It had everything we needed and the bonus was how close it was to the beach. Such an easy walk. We walked around the resort area which was great exercise. Outside the secure gate were a lot of places to eat and shop. ps the place was so clean. Thank you again for having us.

Very nice Condo.
Very nice place for a vacation. The Condo was updated and well-maintained. It was located close to the beach and pool. The management company was very helpful and kept in touch to answer all our questions. We definitely would stay there again.

Beachwalk 105 Review
We rented this unit for a week and it was perfect for our family of 4. Great location - closest units to walk to the beach, nicely furnished, comfy beds. We have stayed at other units in Shipyard and this was the best due to location and condition of the unit and furnishings. The only suggestion would be the unit could use a new coffee maker!

2025 Beach Renourishment Project 2025 Beach Renourishment Project

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS provided by the TOWN OF HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Hilton Head Island's beach is crucial to both residents and the local economy. To preserve this valuable resource, the Town has planned a beach restoration project for Summer 2025, funded primarily by tourism through the local Beach Preservation Fee.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
  • The 2025 beach renourishment is expected to be similar to the previous projects in 1990, 1997, 2006 and 2016.
  • The proposed project will include the placement of approximately 2.2 million cubic yards of beach compatible sand from up to four offshore borrow areas along about 46,500 ft of Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  • This project is part of the Town's ongoing beach management program, with renourishment scheduled every 8 to 10 years, depending on weather and beach conditions.
  • Pine Island in Hilton Head Plantation will be included in the 2025 restoration.
SAND PLACEMENT

The proposed project will include sand placement along five areas of the island shoreline:

  1. South Beach / South Island - Approximately 750,000 cubic yards of sand along approximately 10,230 feet of the southern Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  2. Central Island - Approximately 700,000 cubic yards along 28,860 feet of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
  3. The Heel - Approximately 500,000 cubic yards of sand along 5,280 feet at the northeast point of the island at the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  4. Fish Haul Creek - Approximately 50,000 cubic yards of sand along about 2,130 feet of Port Royal Sound shoreline.
  5. Pine Island - Approximately 180,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand and construction of six rock breakwaters on the Port Royal Sound shoreline of Hilton Head Plantation between Dolphin Head and Pine Island.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The nourishment sand will be excavated by hydraulic dredge from two offshore shoal features.

  • Up to 50,000 feet of pipeline will be trucked or floated to the island by way of large rafts, then moved onto the beach.
  • The pipeline will be piled in stacks along the shoreline until needed during construction.
  • During construction, many miles of pipeline will be submerged on the ocean floor between the offshore borrow sites and the beach.
  • The rest of the pipeline will be laid progressively along the newly constructed beach as the fill sand is pumped on shore.

The dredge will pump a mixture of sand and seawater through the pipeline, and will discharge it onto the beach.

  • There, it will flow parallel to the shoreline - allowing the sand to settle out and the water to return to the sea.
  • Bulldozers and other heavy construction machinery will constantly shape the sand to meet the design specifications.

Project construction is expected to last approximately six months, operating around the clock.

  • On average, the process should move along the shoreline at a rate of about 200 to 300 feet per day.
  • As the fill placement progresses, approximately 1,000 foot sections of the beach are closed temporarily to pedestrian access.
  • Several days of work activity will occur seaward of any one piece of oceanfront property in the 1,000 foot active work area along the beach.
  • Once placed and rough-graded, the new beach is immediately reopened to the public.
IMPACTS ON RESIDENTS AND VISITORS
  • Construction noise will primarily involve bulldozers shaping the sand as it is deposited.
  • Disruptions at individual properties generally last about three or four days as the renourishment operation progresses.
  • Adjacent property owners, or renters, may experience short-term minor inconveniences.
